Principal Information

Dr. Osborne

Thanks for taking the time to view the Roslyn School site and see some of the great things we do at Roslyn School.  I have been the Principal of Roslyn Elementary School since 2007.  My first task as principal was opening this beautiful new elementary school.  Prior to becoming principal I have held numerous positions throughout the sixteen years I have worked in the Abington School District.

Some of the positions I held have been:

Assistant Principal --Copper Beech

Acting Principal – Overlook

Summer School Principal –Elementary

Curriculum Specialist -- Willow Hill/Overlook/Roslyn

Third grade teacher – Rydal

Fifth grade teacher –Willow Hill

Sixth grade teacher – Willow Hill/Overlook

I have loved every one of my positions and enjoy coming to work every single day.  I firmly believe that school should be a fun place where everyone enjoys coming to work every day but where people are willing to work hard (and smart) for the benefit of kids.

Personally I have a wonderful family with a beautiful wife named Leslie and three great kids named Colin, Grace, and Cameron.   When I am not working I enjoy hanging out with my family, working around the house, and surfing.   Surfing comes from the fact that I spent my summers as a child in Ocean City, where my family has a guest home.  Although I don’t surf as much as I’d like, it is one of my favorite pastimes.  As for my schooling, I received my Doctoral degree from Temple, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State, and a Bachelors from West Chester.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any concerns.  I look forward to a great school year.

There are countless ways of achieving greatness, but any road to achieving one's maximum potential must be built on a bedrock of respect for the individual, a commitment to excellence, and a rejection of mediocrity.
