    "Flag Star Philly is the new flag football league in Abington and Cheltenham Area. Games are held at John Russell Park. The league -- www.flagstarphilly.com -- is high-energy, well-organized, and filling up fast. Games and practice are held on Sundays, so there's no mid-week driving. The league is for everyone. K-7th grade, boys, and girls, veterans, and first-timers.

  • 2018 Budding Musician Scholarship for Piano Lessons
    Hovland Conservatory of Music now has lessons available in Roslyn. At Hovland Conservatory, your son or daughter can try piano lessons tuition-free through our Budding Musician Scholarship. Kindergarten students receive one free month of weekly private lessons and curriculum. Grade 1-2 students receive two free lessons and curriculum. There is no obligation to continue following the scholarship. Hovland's mission is to make trying piano lessons as easy as possible. Just give it a try.

    Join us for our 9th season at Abington. The staff at Double Play makes sure our campers learn baseball and softball skills in addition to sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-confidence.     The Township of Abington will offer a FREE lunch to any child between the ages of 1 and 18 at Crestmont Park located at 2500 Old Welsh Road. Meals will be distributed at the Crestmont Clubhouse Monday thru Friday between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

  • Abington Field Hockey Summer Clinic
    The Abington Senior High School's field hockey coaching staff and players will be running the summer field hockey clinic. Anyone is welcome to come and learn a new sport. This clinic will provide each player an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game, improve individual skills, and play small games.

  • Abington Free Library - Science in the Summer
    Science in the Summer is a free science course for children entering grades 2-6. This year four two-day classes will be offered at Abington Free Library on June 25 & 26 and June 27 & 28.   • Abington Free Library - Summer Programs for Children
    Abington Free Library and Roslyn Branch Library invite children in kindergarten through entering grade six to participate in Summer Quest, an exciting new summer learning program. Each child will receive a reading/activity log that can be used to earn prizes and a free book. The libraries also offer a read-to-me program for preschoolers through entering kindergarten.   • AEF Birthday Bash & Food Truck Festival
    Join the Abington Educational Foundation as we celebrate our 25th Anniversary - 25 years of supporting Abington and Rockledge students! We will have a variety of food available for purchase from different food trucks. There will be lots of fun for kids of all ages, including face painting, balloon artist, and games. We will also have a basketball and an obstacle course inflatables for everyone, and music from DJ Dee. No admission fee. Rain or Shine.

  • Briar Bush Nature Center - Family Nature Night
    Briar Bush Nature Center's Family Nature Night program serves children with autism spectrum disorder or other sensory processing disorders. This program involves a fun night complete with light dinner, animal shows, and interactive stations geared toward children on the autism spectrum.
