Dear Kindergarten Parents,

Often times parents do not know what items to send with their child on the first day of kindergarten. We suggest these school supplies for kindergarten:

• Backpack or schoolbag, labeled with child’s name

To be kept in the child’s classroom:

• Two folders for transporting papers to and from school

• Pencils - one dozen sharpened

• Eraser

• Crayons – non-toxic (not fluorescent, glitter, or specialty)

• Glue sticks – non-toxic (pkg. of 3-6)

• One supply box to keep everything in (approximately 10” x 6”), labeled with child’s name

• A box of tissues

• Colored pencils

• Colored washable markers

• Computer Headphones (labeled with child’s name in zip lock bag)

• Oversized t-shirt or smock

We hope that this list will help you to avoid the last minute rush when school begins in September.
