The Office of Human Resources is dedicated to supporting the educational mission of the
Abington
School District
through the implementation and continual improvement of a complete Human Resource Management Program for all district staff.
To this end, each staff member of the Office of Human Resources is committed to providing comprehensive services and expertise in the areas of: employment, benefits administration, position classification, employee compensation, labor relations, and staff development.
Application Process
Individuals
interested in applying for a professional
position with the Abington School District
should send to the district a letter of
interest, resume, PA standard teaching
application (available from the bulleted
Employment Application Forms link below),
copies of clearances: Act 34 Request for
Criminal Record Check, Act 151 Pennsylvania
Child Abuse History Clearance, Act 114 FBI
Federal Criminal History Record, and
transcripts, and teaching certificate, plus
three letters of reference. Individuals
interested in applying for a support staff
position should send a letter of interest,
resume or support staff application
(available from the bulleted Employment
Application Forms link below). The

Employee Benefits
Abington
School District provides a comprehensive
benefits package including medical insurance,
prescription drug coverage, dental insurance,
vision program, life insurance and long-term
disability insurance. Employees receive a
general orientation to the Abington School
District upon employment. A comprehensive
employee benefits overview is offered to each
employee upon hire or at the conclusion of the
probationary period, if applicable. The Office
of Human Resources and Employee Benefits Office
are available to all employees for continuing
support throughout employment.
