Music Department

The performing arts groups currently involve over 500 Abington Junior High School students who perform two public concerts a year. The music department offers elective courses in all three grades. Band, Chorus, and Orchestra are elective courses available to all students. General music, a study of theory, composition, and history, is included in the connected learning cycle in grade 8. Many students at Abington Junior High School enjoy the benefits of music, involved in the elective and cycle music classes, while many more enjoy the musical productions of our talented youngsters.
