Meeting Times
Meetings will be held
throughout the year on an as needed basis. All meetings will take
place from 3:00-4:00 pm in room 314.
Description
The
AJHS history club is intended to bring history to life while at the same
time allowing students to learn about historical events that they may
not have the opportunity to discuss in their classes.
The club activities
include field trips such as the Renaissance Faire and Lights of Liberty,
guest speakers on occasion, organizing
special ceremonies and assemblies for historic holidays or events,
attending lectures, fundraising for historic preservation, organizing
contests, watching history themed movies and reading and writing about
historical events.
