Abington FBLA Excels at National Conference

I am very pleased to inform you that Abington Senior High School had National Finalists in the following events at the FBLA National Conference:
Computer Game Design and Simulation Programming 6th Place
Network Design 2nd Place

When you consider these students competed against the top state finalists in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Various other US Territories, and American Schools in China. WOW!!!

Computer Game Design and Simulation Programming spent hundreds of hours developing a 1980s-like arcade game for the PC. In addition to developing the game they were required to present their game to judges in the form of an interactive presentation. Judges were developers themselves.

Network Design students were first given an objective test in all areas of Computer Networking (Software, Hardware, Security, etc..). The top 15 teams were identified and then they were given a case study of an organization’s current computer network and their needs. Students were then asked to develop a solution for this organization and present their solutions to panel of expert judges.
