Service Learning Initiative Abington School District Mission Statement
The mission of the Service Learning Initiative Standards Committee is to design a framework which promotes an understanding of the many contributions Abington students are able to make to the community at large, the mutual benefits derived from this commitment, the understanding that community service is a life long learning experience, and that knowledge and problem-solving skills learned within the context of the classroom can and will be applied throughout a lifetime for the benefit of the individual and the global community.
