ALL STUDENTS: BEFORE 8:00 a.m. ALL STUDENTS must enter the building through Cafeteria A or B and report directly to their first period class. After 8:00 a.m. students must enter the building via the main entrance at the flag pole, be prepared to show their student i.d., and report to the Attendance Office in A115 for a late pass. Berrios

STUDENT PARKING REGISTRATION: Parking registration forms are available in room A-104 FOR JUNIORS AND SENIORS ONLY. If you plan on parking in the student lot, you must have a 2017-2018 parking sticker displayed on your car or risk being ticketed by the Abington Police Department and/or suspension from school. Issuance of tickets to any student that does not have a current sticker displayed will begin shortly. NO PARKING IN THE STAFF PARKING LOT IS PERMITTED AT ANY TIME! Parking stickers are being sold in room A-104 by Mrs. Rose

ATTENTION NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY MEMBERS: On Tuesday, Feb 27th, right after school in the Audion, we will be having another NHS meeting. An academic advisor from Temple University will be here to talk to you about how to be successful in college!

THE 2018 UNIFIED TRACK AND FIELD TEAM: The 2018 Unified Track and Field team is now accepting athletes and partners for the spring season! Come out and join fellow classmates in track and field events to compete against other area schools. All you need is a completed spring PIAA form. Please see Ms. Jedlinski or Mr. Muntzer if you have any questions.
The next Unified Youth Committee meeting will be March 13th, in caf A, at 2:50 pm. We will be planning our next whole school event and discussing our Unified track and field team. Please see Ms. Jedlinski or Mr. Muntzer if you have any questions.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: It is time to VOTE! Head to the Library Catalog Homepage or use the link below to vote for your favorite from the 2017-2018 Pennsylvania Young Reader’s Choice Award list! The purpose of the Pennsylvania Young Reader’s Choice Awards Program is to promote reading of quality books by young people in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and to honor authors whose works have been recognized by the students of Pennsylvania. Cast your vote today! Last year’s winner was Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon.

We have collected over 500 books through our annual book drive inspired by the words and acts of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We are in the last week of the month-long drive. Please consider donating gently-used or new children’s books to the ASHS library. The collected books will be donated to Cradles to Crayons. The mission of Cradles to Crayons is to connect communities that have with communities that need. Thank you for your support!

DODGEBALL: There will be a Dodgeball Tournament benefitting CAPT on Friday, April 6th at 4pm. All students and staff are welcome to play and can make up their own 5 person team, complete with school appropriate costumes or team uniforms. The cost is $10 per person and includes food. There MAY be prizes! See Officer Gibbs to register your team.

BOYS TENNIS – Any boy interested in trying out for the high school boys tennis team should pick up paperwork in Room 204 from Coach Wenders.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL – Boys who are interested in trying out for volleyball will have open gyms this week on Tuesday from 8-9:30PM and Thursday from 5:30-7PM at the Junior High School. Coach Steinmetz

ATTENTION SENIORS: If you have not turned in cap & gown orders, Herff Jones will be available in Café A during all lunch periods TODAY, February 14th to take your order form and payment. Diploma forms must also be filled out and turned in to Mr. Johnson’s office.

MODEL UN CLUB: There will be a very important meeting for the Model UN Club TODAY in room 157 at 2:45. Permission forms for the trip to the University of Pennsylvania are due and we will be discussing leadership opportunities for the 2018-2019 school year. There will be snacks. Penderghest

VIBE/IMAGINE: The next VIBE/IMAGINE meeting will be held TODAY, Feb.14th, immediately after school in the library classroom. We will be finalizing plans for the cultural fair so we need as many members as possible. Cooper

SENIOR CLASS SWEATSHIRT: The senior class will be placing a second order of sweatshirts. So, if you missed out and want to buy your senior class sweatshirt, please pick up an order form on the bulletin board across from the library or see Mrs. Rizzo in 106a. Deadline for orders is Thursday, February 22nd.

KEY CLUB: Attention all Key Club members: Our monthly member meeting will be TODAY, February 14th (Valentine’s Day) at 2:45pm in the Audion. We’ll be discussing our annual Heart Hop Dance! Peters

The Key Club’s annual Heart Hop Dance will be on Thursday, February 15th from 7-9:30pm in the Auditorium Lobby. Tickets will be on sale all week leading up to the dance during the lunch periods in Café A. All proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association. Peters
