ALL STUDENTS: BEFORE 8:00 a.m. ALL STUDENTS must enter the building through Cafeteria A or B and report directly to their first period class. After 8:00 a.m. students must enter the building via the main entrance at the flag pole, be prepared to show their student i.d., and report to the Attendance Office in A115 for a late pass. Berrios
STUDENT PARKING REGISTRATION: Parking registration forms are available in room A-104 FOR JUNIORS AND SENIORS ONLY. If you plan on parking in the student lot, you must have a 2017-2018 parking sticker displayed on your car or risk being ticketed by the Abington Police Department and/or suspension from school. Issuance of tickets to any student that does not have a current sticker displayed will begin shortly. NO PARKING IN THE STAFF PARKING LOT IS PERMITTED AT ANY TIME! THE ALTERNATIVE SPORTS CLUB: The Alternative Sports Club is now accepting paperwork for this year’s winter ski trips to Blue Mountain. Spots are limited, and forms are due by October 24th. Forms can be gotten from and returned to: Grayson Meyerowitz, Carl Petetti, Mr. Han, Ms. McMahon, or Mr. Zanetti. See you on the slopes!
THE ENGINEERING TEAM (SCIENCE CLUB): Meetings will be held every Thursday after school in Room 162 starting October 5th. See Ms. Yeager if you have any questions. Yeager
THE ANIME CLUB: The Anime Club will meet Friday, October 6th, after school in Room 162. Yeager
FAAD: There will be a FAAD meeting Friday morning at 7:10 in P-216. Any students wishing to join must attend the meeting. Any questions, please see Mrs. White in P-216. White
THE HOMECOMING DANCE: The Homecoming Dance will be held Saturday, October 7th, in the school gym. Tickets are $15 per person and will go on sale during all lunch periods starting Wednesday October 4th. Rizzo
Attention all students who have not purchased an Abington Lock:
If you need a lock, please stop in the Assistant Principals’ Office at your earliest convenience to purchase a lock for $6.00.
Remember, only RED Abington locks are permitted to be used on your Street Locker.
The BLACK lock is for use on your GYM locker ONLY!
Just a reminder: All students should be using the LOCKER that is assigned to them. If you are unsure of your locker number or location, please go to the Assistant Principals’ office to get assistance.

ATTENTION STUDENTS INTERESTED IN JOINING THE MATH CLUB: The first meeting of the Math Club will be TODAY, September 28th, at 2:45 in Room 220. Tinney
NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY: NAHS will be holding it’s first meeting of the 2017-2018 School year. If you are enrolled in an Art class for this academic year and think you may be interested in becoming a member, please come to our introductory meeting after school today, September 28th, at 2:45 pm in room 120.
We will be discussing upcoming service learning projects. You must be enrolled in at least one semester of an Art elective to be eligible to join.
COLLEGE VISITS: Attention all students! When planning your visits to colleges this year, please adhere to the following procedure: To be excused, you must present a written parental note at least two days in advance of the anticipated visit to Mr. Johnson’s office. Mr. Johnson’s secretary will then give you a teacher consent form which must be filled out and returned prior to the day of the college visit. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence. Students are allowed three excused college visits during the school year. For a more detailed description of the college visit process, please access the information under Guidance Services in your student handbook. Thanks for your cooperation. Ewald.
SCIENCE FAIR: Any students interested in completing a project for the Montgomery County science fair must attend an information meeting today, Sept. 28th. This short information meeting will be held immediately following school in room 125. Anderson
BuildOn: BuildOn will have our first general meeting today, September 28th, after school in the audion. Anyone interested in being part of this year’s club should attend. Snacks will be provided. If you can’t make it, but want to join, please see Mr. Hunt in room 225 for information.
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: The annual Breast Cancer Game will take place on Friday, October 6th, in the stadium at 7pm. T-shirts can be purchased in Café A during the lunch periods the first week of October for $10, and grant you free admission to the game. Key Club members can volunteer to either bring in pink baked goods or help distribute them at the game for service hours (1 hour per baked good, and 3 hours for the game). Sign-ups are outside room 117. Come support our PINK GHOSTS as they take on Council Rock North! Peters
ATTENTION SENIORS: The school counseling team is hosting several college campus tours for seniors this fall. Registration is now open to sign up for these tours via Naviance. There is still time to register for tours to Temple, Villanova, Penn, Saint Joe’s, and Penn State Abington. If you are interested in any of these campus, you MUST meet attendance and GPA requirements, sign up via Naviance by the deadline, and obtain an permission form from your counselor. Remaining trip dates and sign up deadlines are as follows:
Temple – Friday, September 29th – signup deadline September 25th
Villanova – Tuesday, October 3rd – signup deadline September 27th
U Penn – Tuesday, October 10th – signup deadline October 4th
Saint Joe’s – Thursday, October 12th – sign up deadline October 6th
Penn State Abington – Friday, October 25th – sign up deadline October 21st.
