Pages For Progress
The Willow Hill faculty and staff are actively
involved in promoting more reading at home by our students. In an
effort to increase the amount of time Willow Hill students spend
reading, the staff has instituted a nightly minimum time for
silent reading as part of each students homework requirements.
The Willow Hill teachers also feel that it is important for our
students to set goals and be rewarded for achieving those goals.
As a result, Willow Hill is sponsoring a reading incentive for the
whole school.
Our school wide goal is to read over 1,000,000 pages between
September and May.
Encourage your student to read as much as possible and log their
pages daily in their homework book, reading log, or calendar. At
the end of each month, individual and class totals will be
tallied. There will be monthly class and individual rewards. If we
achieve our goal of 1,000,000 pages read, the entire student body
will be rewarded with a special day in June. If we all work
together, we can achieve this goal!!
