Spotlight on
Education
Library
As the year winds down, we are working,
while watching and waiting for signs of spring. Check out
the Alliteration Garden created by first grade students. The
month of April is the time for many celebrations, one of
which is National Poetry Month. In the library, we have
pulled out our rhythm “not popsicle” sticks, and are taking
note of the imagery, or mental pictures formed, through
sound, sight, smell, taste, and feel of the language of
poetry. Students are reading, memorizing, writing and
composing poetry. The 800 Literature, and the 400 Language
sections of the library are being well used, as students
search and borrow books of poetry, and books with words to
help them with their compositions.
