Last week, members of Abington School District’s central staff received a tour of the construction site at Abington Senior High School. In addition to getting the chance to see the Center for Science and Technology come together, the team had an opportunity to walk through the areas under renovation. For some of the renovated space as the District nears the start of the 2019-2020 school year, it was an interesting opportunity to see the pieces coming together firsthand. From a fresh coat of maroon paint in classrooms, to the installation of LED lighting in the library, it was the first glimpse at the new finishes that will be seen throughout the new Abington Senior High School by 2022. Other details included sensor lights in classrooms—designed to adjust based on the amount of sunlight coming in—more outlets for expanded use of technology, and a coffee service window for use by the A.C.T.I.V.E. Academy students.
