  • Abington Free Library - Virtual Doggone Good Readers Program
    Read to the world's most patient listener--a dog! Children in grades 1-5 are invited to practice reading aloud to registered therapy dogs on Zoom on two Tuesdays, Oct. 13 and Nov. 10, 7:00-7:30 p.m. All Virtual Doggone Good Readers sessions will be hosted and overseen by an Abington Free Library staff member.   • Abington Library - Virtual Art Workshops for Ages 8-12
    Abington Free Library will offer three Zoom painting and drawing classes for ages 8-12. Join us at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 17, Dec. 2, and Dec. 29. Live guided instruction will be provided by instructor Anita Thompson, who will also prepare art supply kits to be picked up at the library in advance. Classes will run 1-1.5 hours, depending on the project. Registration is required; space is limited to 15 children per session.   • Make A Zine - opportunity to earn service hours
    Make a Zine. Online classes for 5th through 9th grade. Zines are tiny booklets on any subject you like from sports or art to Among Us. Free double class series with Diana Trout Nov 4 and 11 7 - 8 pm. Any student who offers a zine to be posted on the library site will be eligible for service hours.
