  • Abington Free Library - Virtual Art Workshops
    Children ages 8-12 are invited to participate in our free Virtual Art Workshops led by experienced art teacher Anita Thompson. Each Zoom class features live guided instruction, and art supply kits are provided to all registered children. Advance online registration is required.   • Abington Free Library - Virtual Doggone Good Readers
    Make a furry friend! Children in grades 1-5 are invited to practice reading aloud to registered therapy dogs on Zoom on four Tuesdays--Jan. 12, Feb. 9, March 9, and April 13--7:00-7:30 p.m. Most reading sessions are one-on-one to allow enough reading time, and all Virtual Doggone Good Readers sessions are overseen by an Abington Free Library staff member.   • Online MLK Day Event with Woodmere Art Museum
    Please join us online via Zoom at 3 p.m. on Monday, January 18 for a free family program celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement. Explore the story behind Harriet Tubman's journey to freedom and the legacy of Dr. King through musical narratives by the Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble, the art of Jerry Pinkney, and interactive fun activities for children and families.
