  • Abington Free Library - Bark Pals Program
    Bark Pals is a therapy dog reading program for Overlook and Willow Hill Elementary School students who have completed grades 1-5. The program encourages children to practice their reading skills and will be held at Willow Grove Giant on four Wednesday afternoons in July. Interested parents are invited to complete the registration form and return it to their child's teacher by Thursday, May 23. Parents will receive an email or letter confirming their children's enrollment in mid-June.

  • Abington Free Library - Children's Summer Quest Program
    Abington Free Library and Roslyn Branch Library invite children in preschool through entering grade six to participate in Summer Quest, an exciting summer reading program that includes hands-on learning activities. Each child will receive a reading/activity log that can be used to earn free books and prizes. Abington elementary school children will be able to register through school in mid-May through June 4; registration at the public libraries begins Friday, June 14.

    Science in the Summer is a free science course for children entering grades 2-6. This year two two-day sessions will be offered at Abington Free Library on June 24 & 25 and June 26 & 27. The course topic will be "The Science of Me," focusing on genetics and the human body. Parents may register online at fi.edu/scienceinthesummer/registration starting at noon on May 17.   • Abington Lacrosse Club--Spring 2019
    Registration for the ALC 2019 Spring Lacrosse season is open through Sunday, February 3rd. Please sign up now! There will be a $20 late fee on any travel team registration (7/8th, 5/6th and 3/4th grade) after January 21st. Registration for our D Division (1st/2nd grade) will remain open until spots are filled by the end of March/beginning of April.
