  • Briar Bush Nature Center - Summer Camp Aide Volunteer Program
    Briar Bush Nature Center's Camp Aide Program is designed to give teens the opportunity to serve alongside summer camp staff while gaining naturalist, leadership, and communication skills, earning community service hours, building resume experience, and having a fun-filled summer. Briar Bush seeks hard-working, patient, fun-loving, and energetic teens to volunteer for our Camp Aide Program. Camp Aides must be 13+ years of age and volunteer for a minimum of two full weeks of Summer Camp.

  • Pet Safety
    Roslyn Library. April 28 1- 1:30 pm. Ages 3 - 8. Katy Nagy of the SPCA and her therapy dog will teach us how to approach and pet animals safely, and what to do if approached by a strange animal. We will talk about the proper way to pet a strange dog and what do if attacked by a dog. This is for families that have pets and families that don't.   • Your Brain, Your Life - April 8th at Abington Free Library
    On April 8, 7-8 pm join us in Abington Free Library's Community Room to learn about how an injury or a change to your brain impacts your life. Brain Injury Specialist, Dr. Drew Nagele, will talk about Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). ABI refers to a physical injury to the brain that occurs after a period of normal brain development (thus it is "acquired".) Participants will learn what is an acquired brain injury and will also learn some practical ways to get help for people who have brain injuries.
