  • Abington Free Library - Virtual Art Workshops for Ages 4-7
    Do your younger children like to draw and paint? Check out our new Virtual Art Workshop series for ages 4-7! The first session, Halloween Cat Painting, will be held on Zoom on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 6:30-8:00 p.m., and feature live guided instruction by Anita Thompson. Additional classes will be offered on Nov. 9 and Jan. 11. Art supply kits will be provided for each session. Please register online at abingtonfreelibrary.org.

  • Abington Free Library - Virtual Doggone Good Readers
    Children in grades 1-5 are invited to practice reading aloud to registered therapy dogs on Zoom on four Tuesdays--Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16, and Dec. 14--from 7:00-7:35 p.m. Each child is paired with a dog in their own breakout room under the supervision of library staff. Register online at abingtonfreelibrary.org starting Tuesday, Sept. 7. Children do not have to participate on all four dates. A Zoom invitation will be emailed to you the day before your scheduled session.

  • Abington Free Library Family Story Safari
    Abington Free Library invites families to a Family Story Safari for ages 3 and up on Saturday, Sept. 25, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Join storyteller Don Dougherty on an imaginary jungle trek during this outdoor event in the library's north parking lot. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Social distancing is encouraged and face masks will be required. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. Rain date is Saturday, Oct. 2.
