  • Abington Free Library - Doggone Good Readers Program
    Children in grades 1-6 are invited to practice reading aloud in small groups to registered therapy dogs on four Saturdays--Jan. 5, Feb. 2, March 2, and April 6, 2019--at Abington Free Library. Two reading sessions--10:15-10:45 a.m. and 11:00-11:30 a.m.--will be offered on each date. Children may bring their own books or choose from a selection provided by the library. Online registration is now underway at abingtonfreelibrary.org.

  • Abington HS Boys Lacrosse Flapjack Fundraiser on March 30th
    Abington HS Boys Lacrosse Team will have Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser on March 30th, 2019 at the Applebee's in Jenkintown from 8am-10am. Breakfast includes: Unlimited pancakes, syrup, butter, sausage links, and beverage choice including coffee, orange juice, fountain soda and tea. Price of the breakfast is $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for children 5 and under. Please spread the word out to family/friends to come enjoy breakfast. We would LOVE for you to support our fundraiser. Go Ghosts!

  • Abington Lacrosse Club--Spring 2019
    Registration for the ALC 2019 Spring Lacrosse season is open through Sunday, February 3rd. Please sign up now! There will be a $20 late fee on any travel team registration (7/8th, 5/6th and 3/4th grade) after January 21st. Registration for our D Division (1st/2nd grade) will remain open until spots are filled by the end of March/beginning of April.     Camp Invention is a high-energy, hands-on STEM camp.This year your child will team up to rebuild ships and design underwater equipment.Participants design a remote-control bot to take on obstacles from sports to dance.Children collaborate with inventor superheroes and take on the role of engineers, fabricators and innovators to conquer villains. Kids become successful entrepreneurs as they code bots to turn a polluted wasteland into a money-making machine and create devices to save animals.
