  • Abington Free Library - Doggone Good Readers Therapy Dog Reading Program
    Children who have completed grades 1-5 are invited to practice reading aloud to registered therapy dogs in the Abington Free Library Community Room on two Saturdays, July 13 and August 3, 10:00-10:30 a.m. OR 10:45-11:15 a.m. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. three Mondays before each scheduled Doggone Good Readers date. If your child loves dogs and wants to become a more confident reader, this relaxing program is for them! Register online at abingtonfreelibrary.org.

  • Abington Township Public Libraries - "Adventure Begins at Your Library" Summer Reading Program for Children
    Abington Free Library and Roslyn Branch Library invite children in preschool through entering fifth grade to participate in this year's summer reading program, "Adventure Begins at Your Library." Starting June 17, children can log their daily reading time and earn free books and prizes along the way.   • All-Boys Audition - Metropolitan's Tuition-Free Boys' Scholarship Dance Training Program
    Inviting boys ages 7-11 to an open audition and information session for Metropolitan's Tuition-Free Boys' Scholarship Training Program. No prior dance experience required. All-Boys Audition, June 8, 2024 at 9AM. Arrive ready to participate in a beginner class & come in gym clothes or dance class attire. Training in all-male classes enhances athletic skills, flexibility and strength. Approx 50 boys enroll each year for beginner-advanced classical training, Jazz, Modern, and Conditioning classes.
