  • Abington Free Library - Doggone Good Readers Therapy Dog Reading Program
    Children in grades 1-5 are invited to practice reading aloud to registered therapy dogs on three Saturdays--Oct. 7, Nov. 4, and Dec. 2--at Abington Free Library. Two sessions--10:00-10:30 a.m. and 10:45-11:15 a.m.--will be offered on each date in the library's Community Room.     Does your child ages 4-7 like to paint or draw? This fall/winter we will offer a Night Chameleon Pointillism Painting class (November 14) and a Snowfall Fight! mixed media class (January 9).     LGBTQ+ kids & allies in kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to join Rainbow Connections! Parents & caregivers are encouraged to attend this child-centered program.     The Teen Advisory Board (Ab-TAB) is a group of teens who help plan library programs for teens, as well as recommend materials to add to the Young Adult collection. Ab-TAB is a forum to have your opinions and suggestions heard, expand your leadership skills, and earn volunteer service hours.
