  • Abington Free Library - Doggone Good Readers Therapy Dog Reading Program
    Children in grades 1-6 are invited to practice reading aloud to registered therapy dogs on two Saturdays--Nov. 2 and Dec. 7--at Abington Free Library. Two sessions--10:15-10:45 a.m. (small-group reading) and 11:00-11:30 a.m. (one-on-one reading)--will be offered on each date. Children may bring their own books or choose from a selection provided by the library. Online registration is underway at abingtonfreelibrary.org and will continue until all spaces are filled.

  • DIY Pet Toys
    Wed, Nov 13, 7-8 pm at Abington Free Library. For children, teens, and adults ages 8 & up. Teens receive service hours! Create your own cat & dog toys out of recycled materials. Toys will be donated to a local animal shelter and you can take toys home for your own pets, too. Some supplies will be provided but donated supplies are welcome, including clean towels, jeans, t-shirts, socks (especially baby or kids size), plastic bottles, and tennis balls.
