Children in grades 1-5 are invited to practice reading aloud to registered therapy dogs on three Saturdays--Oct. 7, Nov. 4, and Dec. 2--at Abington Free Library. Two sessions--10:00-10:30 a.m. and 10:45-11:15 a.m.--will be offered on each date in the library's Community Room. Children may bring their own books or choose from a selection provided by the library. Advance registration is required; sign up online at abingtonfreelibrary.org/events. Does your child ages 4-7 like to paint or draw? This fall/winter we will offer a Night Chameleon Pointillism Painting class (November 14) and a Snowfall Fight! mixed media class (January 9). Both Zoom sessions will start at 6:30 p.m. and feature live guided instruction by local artist Anita Thompson. Art supply kits will be provided.
