  • Abington Free Library - Doggone Good Readers Therapy Dog Reading Program
    Children who have completed grades 1-5 are invited to practice reading aloud to registered therapy dogs in the Abington Free Library Community Room on two Saturdays, July 13 and August 3, 10:00-10:30 a.m. OR 10:45-11:15 a.m. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. three Mondays before each scheduled Doggone Good Readers date. If your child loves dogs and wants to become a more confident reader, this relaxing program is for them! Register online at abingtonfreelibrary.org.

  • Abington Free Library -- Rainbow Connections
    LGBTQ+ kids & allies who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to join Rainbow Connections! Meet new friends and talk about LGBTQ+ themed books and topics in a safe space. This month our special guests are Colleen and Coley Budniewski, one of our Rainbow Connections families. They will be reading and talking about their picture book My First Ponytail.   • Abington Township Public Libraries - "Adventure Begins at Your Library" Summer Reading Program for Children
    Abington Free Library and Roslyn Branch Library invite children in preschool through entering fifth grade to participate in this year's summer reading program, "Adventure Begins at Your Library." Starting June 17, children can log their daily reading time and earn free books and prizes along the way.     Join us from 2-4 pm on Saturday, June 15 at Woodmere Art Museum for a Juneteenth Family Celebration!
