Student Support Services

The student support services program is designed to reflect a comprehensive and developmental approach to educational issues. The primary goal of the program is to promote and enhance student learning. The components of the program include:

  • Counseling : individual, small group, crisis, classroom
  • Consultation : administrators, teachers, parents, referral agency personnel
  • Coordination: new student orientation, transition activities, standardized testing, registration, support services

All students receive support of a guidance program that is directed toward helping each student have the most successful school experience possible. They are encouraged to explore individual interests, abilities, and goals with their school counselor. The guidance and counseling services of Abington Junior High School include many functions to meet the diverse needs of our student population.
