ALL STUDENTS: BEFORE 8:00 a.m. ALL STUDENTS must enter the building through Cafeteria A and report directly to their first period class. AFTER 8:00 a.m. students must enter the building via the main entrance at the flag pole, be prepared to show your student ID., and report to the Attendance Office in A115 for a late pass.

Hey ASHS! There are many volunteer opportunities and service learning resources for students in grades 9-11 posted on the Service Learning Opportunities web page: https://www.abington.k12.pa.us/resources/service-learning/service-learning-opportunities/ Friends of Cheltenham Tennis needs help with their after school program. No Tennis experience necessary. Volunteers are needed for different groups during Ardsley Family Day on 10/20. Foster Angels on Earth is looking for volunteers to help with a fundraiser on Saturday October 20. On Friday 10/26 we have 3 different events in need of many, many volunteers: Rydal Fall Fest, Copper Beech Fall Fest and the Ferocious Fighters Haunted Hotel. On Saturday the 27th The Marching Ghosts are in need of volunteers to help with their annual Bands in the Boneyard, and Holy Redeemer is also in need of volunteers to help with their Heart Walk. There are also many on-going opportunities in need of volunteers. Please visit the Service Learning Opportunities Webpage for more information and to sign up.

KEY CLUB: Attention all students – The Key Club will be having its first Pillow Polo tournament TODAY, Wednesday, October 17th at 3pm in the gym.

Teachers: Please consider donating Halloween candy to support the Trunk or Treat. All candy donations can be dropped off in the mailroom, or in room S-106. In addition, if you can bring in used plastic gallon containers (i.e. milk or water jugs), they can be dropped off in the same location.

Students: Please drop off used plastic gallon containers. i.e., milk jugs or water jugs. Make sure all containers have been cleaned prior to donating. Donations can be dropped off in room S-106.

SWAN: Come learn about service opportunities for helping mothers and infants in need. SWAN interest meeting is Thursday October 18th after school in room 140 at the end of the science wing. See Mrs. Spering for details or questions.

YOUNG DEMOCRATS: The Young Democrats will meet on Monday Oct. 22nd after school in room 253 to work on our Trunk or Treat display. Come join the fun!

H2O for Life: – There will be an H2O Club Meeting on Monday October 22 in room 126 after school. Come hear about water borne diseases and learn how you can help support our project.

BOWLING: Anyone interested in trying out for the bowling team should pick up information from Coach Wenders in Room 204.

FASHION CLUB: Our first meeting of the school year will be this Thursday, October 18th, new members are welcome to join us. Meet in the library after school .

FRIENDS CLUB: Ahoy! The moment of friendship is fast approaching! If you are friendly, like friends, and want to spread friendship across the school faster than glitter in a 3rd grade art room, then come to the first general meeting of the Friends Club. It will be held Thursday, October 18 after school in room S-103. We will be discussing future events and activities and will have a guest lecture from Mr. Penderghest on the history of friendship. All are encouraged to attend. If you are interested in joining but are unable to attend, see Mr. MacNair in the social studies wing for more information.

MOCK INVESTORS CLUB: The Mock Investors Club will be holding its first meeting of the year TODAY, Wednesday, 10/17, after school in room S-103. Come out and learn something about investing in stocks through an investment simulation that will pit you against other investors to find out who can make the most imaginary money. Our initial meeting will go over the basics and get everyone signed up. If you cannot attend the meeting, but still want to join, see Mr. MacNair in the social studies wing for more information.

MATH CLUB: Attention, members of the Math Club. The next meeting of the Math Club will be after school TODAY, Wednesday October 17th at 2:45 in Room 220.

FRENCH CLUB: The French Club will have a brief meeting after school TODAY, Wednesday, October 17th in Room 252 right after school. We are planning our part of the Trunk or Treat event. Merci!

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD: There will be a meeting for all students interested in the Science Olympiad in room 127 after school on Thursday, October 25th. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Spencer.

VIBE/IMAGINE: The next VIBE/IMAGINE meeting will be held in Rm 242 after school TODAY, Wednesday Oct. 17th. Be prepared to work on posters for Trunk or Treat.

GIRLS interested in participating on the High School Indoor Track and Field team this winter should attend a meeting TODAY Wednesday, October 17th in Café B at 3:30pm. Attendance is mandatory.

Attention Juniors: The final day to hand in your Claire’s Gourmet fundraiser orders is TODAY, Wednesday October 17. See Ms. Summers if you have questions.

VOSH: Anyone interested in participating in VOSH this year should attend an informational meeting on Thursday, October 18th immediately after school in the library.

Anime Club: Our next meeting will be Tues Oct 23rd before school in Rm 162 from 7:10 to 7:30 am. We will be planning the Halloween cosplay contest!

SNEAKER CLUB: Attention Sneaker Fans! This Monday, October 22nd, The Sneaker Club will be holding our next meeting of the year. The club combines our love for sneakers with community service. Would you like to hear more about it? Please join us Monday after school in Rm. 124. All new members or prospective members are welcome. We will be discussing our upcoming tee shirt release and fundraising efforts. Hopefully, Sydney will be baking cookies as well. See you there.

Reading Olympics: Our next meeting is on Monday October 22 after school in the library. New members are welcome!
