ALL STUDENTS: BEFORE 8:00 a.m. ALL STUDENTS must enter the building through Cafeteria A and report directly to their first period class. AFTER 8:00 a.m., students must enter the building via the main entrance at the flag pole, be prepared to show your student ID., and report to the Attendance Office in A115 for a late pass.
Hey ASHS! There are many volunteer opportunities and service learning resources for students in grades 9-11 posted on the Service Learning Opportunities web page: https://www.abington.k12.pa.us/resources/service-learning/service-learning-opportunities/ Kisses for Kyle Foundation is looking for volunteers to help with a gift wrap fundraiser at Barnes and Noble through December 23. Willow Hill is looking for Study Buddies to help every Tuesday and Thursday during January through April. There are also many on-going opportunities in need of volunteers. Friends of Cheltenham Tennis needs help with their after school program. No Tennis experience necessary. Artists are needed to help with a painting project at McKinley Elementary school. There are also on-going tutoring at the Jr. High after school and volunteers needed to help with Tech assistance at Abington Library. Pegasus Riding Academy is looking for volunteers to assist their special needs riders and their horses. Please visit the Service Learning Opportunities Webpage for more information and to sign up.
Mini-THON will be hosting a Flag Football tournament on Tuesday November 13th and Wednesday November 14th. There must be 7 players per team and every team must have at least one female player. Cost is $5.00 per person and you can register on the mini-THON website. All money is due to Mrs. Chakler no later than Monday November 12th. You will not be able to participate if you do not pay!
MILITARY CLUB: The military club will hold a meeting on Tuesday November 13th after school in room 125.

Attention Seniors! Be sure to open your naviance email to find the link for completing your senior profile. There you will find a google form where what you type in will appear next to your yearbook photo. You have until Thanksgiving to complete the form. See Mr. O’Donnell in room S103 with questions.
KEY CLUB: Attention all Key Club members – our monthly member meeting will be held in the Audion at 2:45pm on Wednesday, November 14th. Come out and see what events are scheduled before Thanksgiving!
CREATIVE WRITING CLUB: The Creative Writing Club has a meeting on Wednesday, November 14. We will meet in the library.
H2O FOR LIFE: H2O for Life is hosting a Super Smash Brothers Tournament Tuesday November 20 after school in the Audion. The title of reigning champion is up for grabs. Tickets are $8 per person. Tickets will be sold during lunches in Cafeteria A the week of November 12. Snacks will be available for purchase. All proceeds will benefit H2O for Life in supporting the funding of a water project.
NAMI Club: Next NAMI meeting is Wednesday, 11/14 in room S-108! We’re getting ready for Friendsgiving and We Belong Week! New members are always welcome!
Attention all fall opt-out athletes: Fall opt-out ended last Friday. You should attend your regularly scheduled PE class beginning today Monday, November 12th. I repeat, the fall opt-out session has ended and you are expected to report to your regularly schedule PE class even if you plan to opt-out again this winter season. Stay tuned for future announcements regarding winter opt-out procedures.
Attention Class of 2019. If you placed an order for Claire’s Gourmet, orders will be available for pickup in the audion after school on Tuesday November 13. Please pick up your order before leaving school on Tuesday. If you placed a large order, bring friends to help!
BUDDIES: The Abington Buddies will be meeting in the audion on Wednesday, November 14th at 2:45. Join us for fun, friendship, and the opportunity to support diversity!
SIGN LANGUAGE CLUB: The American Sign Language Club will be meeting in Room S9 on Thursday. November 15th. Come and learn a new way to communicate. We will be having a guest speaker!
PSYCHOLOGY CLUB: There will be a Psychology Club meeting after school on Wednesday November 14th in Room S111. We will be organizing our November activity. All are welcome and bring a friend!
ICE HOCKEY NEWS: Varsity Ice Hockey Team suffered a tough loss last night to Council Rock South. The team will look to rebound next Thursday night in a home match against Truman High School.
