ALL STUDENTS: BEFORE 8:00 a.m. ALL STUDENTS must enter the building through Cafeteria A and report directly to their first period class. AFTER 8:00 a.m., students must enter the building via the main entrance at the flag pole, be prepared to show your student ID., and report to the Attendance Office in A115 for a late pass.

Hey ASHS! There are many volunteer opportunities and service learning resources for students in grades 9-11 posted on the Service Learning Opportunities web page: https://www.abington.k12.pa.us/resources/service-learning/service-learning-opportunities/ The Abington Educational Foundation is looking for volunteers to assist with their Kindness Campaign Obstacle Race on Saturday December 1. Teams of 4 can also sign up to compete in the races by emailing ASD teacher Mr. Staszkiw at michaelstaszkiw@abington.k12.pa.us The cost to participate in the fundraiser race is $40 per team. On the service learning web page you will see there are also many on-going opportunities in need of volunteers.Friends of Cheltenham Tennis needs help with their after school program. No Tennis experience necessary. Artists are needed to help with a painting project at McKinley Elementary school. There are also on-going tutoring at the Jr. High after school and volunteers needed to help with Tech assistance at Abington Library. Pegasus Riding Academy is looking for volunteers to assist their special needs riders and their horses. Please visit the Service Learning Opportunities Webpage for more information and to sign up.

Mini-THON: Mini-THON will be hosting a fundraiser at SNAP Pizza in Jenkintown from 4:00 – 8:00 TODAY, Thursday November 29th. 50% of the proceeds will be donated back to mini-THON. You must have a copy of the flyer with you! See Ms. Chakler for information on where to get the flyer.

LEMON CLUB: The lemon club will be selling baked goods in Cafe A after school from Monday through Friday. THAT’S ALL WEEK THIS WEEK! BUY YOUR AFTER SCHOOL SNACK FROM US! J All proceeds will be donated to the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Attention Winter Sports Athletes: Opt-out begins next Tuesday 12/4. The opt-out form will be posted on the ATHLETIC’S OFFICE door this Thursday and Friday. Again, Opt-out will begin on Tuesday, December 4 and you must complete the opt-out form by this Friday to ensure you’re assigned a study hall. See Mrs. Panasiuk in the Athletics office if you have any questions or your name does not appear on the list.

CLASS OF 2021: The Class of 2021 is wrapping up their Poinsettia Sale Fundraiser. THERE IS JUST TODAY to place your order for gorgeous, high quality poinsettias, grown locally by Kremp Florist. All orders must be in by TODAY, November 29th, and plants will be available for pick up on December 12th. Don’t get left out! Checks made payable to Abington Senior High School. SUPER SMASH BROS. TOURNAMENT WINNER: Congratulations to Jason Lebofsky for winning the Super Smash Bros. Tournament. The tournament raised $264 to help H20 for Life’s effort to help the Jelu Primary School in India. Thank you to all of the competitors and fans. More H2O for Life activities are coming soon!
