ALL STUDENTS: BEFORE 8:00 a.m. ALL STUDENTS must enter the building through Cafeteria A or B and report directly to their first period class. After 8:00 a.m. students must enter the building via the main entrance at the flag pole, be prepared to show your student ID., and report to the Attendance Office in A115 for a late pass.

Attention Students: There are many emergency cards that still have not been turned in. Please hand in your emergency card to your English teacher or the Health Suite. If you need a new one, please stop by the health suite during your lunch to pick one up. Thank you.

Hey ASHS! There are many volunteer opportunities and service learning resources for students in grades 9-11 posted on the Service Learning Opportunities web page: https://www.abington.k12.pa.us/resources/service-learning/service-learning-opportunities/ There are many events that need volunteers coming up quickly including: on Saturday October 29th there are Fall Festivals at Overlook Elementary, Montgomery County Community College in Whitpain and at the Lord’s New Church in Huntingdon Valley, each is in need of many volunteers, especially for the 1:00-4:00 shift at the Lords New Church Festival. Saturday, October 6, Holy Redeemer Hospital is looking for help with their Breast Cancer Walk. Do you like to work with kids? Friends of Cheltenham Tennis needs help with their after school program. No Tennis experience necessary. There is also on-going tutoring at the Jr. High after school and volunteers needed to help with Tech assistance at Abington Library. CLASS OF 2020: Juniors: Don’t forget to sell items for the Claire’s Gourmet fundraiser. Help raise money for the Class of 2020 and hopefully earn some incentives for yourself as well. Orders are due on October 15.

YOUNG DEMOCRATS: Young Democrats will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd, at 2:40 in room 253 to discuss our ideas for Trunk or Treat and the Voter Registration Drive. Snacks will be provided.

SERVICE LEARNING: Attention Seniors! Do you need a service opportunity for Sr. Giveback/College Visit/Career Shadow day on 10/10? Seniors can sign up on the Service Learning Opportunities Webpage: https://www.abington.k12.pa.us/resources/service-learning/service-learning-opportunities/ to volunteer at one of the district elementary schools or at the Jr. High. Spaces will be limited! Seniors must sign up through the website by Friday 10/5/18. All signups will be closed after 2:35 on Friday 10/5 so that final lists can be sent to the schools. Students who are not signed up through the website will be turned away from the schools. Under no circumstances are seniors to make their own arrangements to volunteer or visit any elementary schools or at the Jr. High for Sr. Giveback Day.

ENGINEERING: The first go-cart meeting for the Engineering Team will be in room 162 on Tuesday Oct 2nd before school from 7:10 to 7:30. The Society of Women Engineers will also be holding a planning meeting. Come check out our activities for the year!

Attention all students – If you want to be a part of the largest service club, then please turn in all Key Club forms and dues to Mrs. Davidoff (room 117) or Mrs. Peters (room 201) by Friday, October 5th! NO EXCEPTIONS!

The Model United Nations Club will be holding an interest meeting and planning meeting in room 157 on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 2nd, at 2:45. There will be snacks!

GSA: The Gender Sexuality Alliance will be hosting their first meeting Wednesday, October 3rd at 2:50 in Room S9. The Gender Sexuality Alliance is a extra-curricular activity that supports LGBT and community events. ALL are welcome!
